The EAP Chief Webmaster, after discussion with several board members of his concerns with the existing association management, transitioned to a new AMS effective November 25, 2019. While the previous AMS offered many features and capabilities, it was free and self-hosted, therefore updates to its capabilities had to be managed in-house. Training on the system also posed challenging as only a few key features were used and navigation was cumbersome. After identifying the primary needs, a new paid system was identified and implemented. All EAP members must renew their membership using the new system, which includes the previous history they had under our legacy. Instructions are contained on the renewal page for how to complete this process. The board thanks everyone for their patience during this transition.
While there were some updates previously communicated about the RP examination, the following information is also pertinent. "At the 2019 Convention, the delegates adopted a resolution making recommendations to the Commission on Credentialing regarding the new RP credentialing system that had been declared implemented on August 1, 2019. While under the NAP bylaws the recommendations are not binding on the Commission, the Commission seriously considered those recommendations. The Commission at its post-convention meeting voted to reinstate the previous 1200 question-based RP examination. However, the Commission will continue to administer the new credentialing system to RP candidates, recognizing that new credentialing system is still in the testing process while allowing the existing Beta Testers to continue. RP candidates applying on or after August 1, 2019, to the new system will test…

Through the efforts of EAP Vice President & Chief Webmaster Evan Lemoine, PRP, the association was able to implement a new association management system for processing our 2019 dues renewals. This system offers the expanded capability to accept credit card payments, which previously we had not accepted. "As an electronic association, the ability to accept credit cards and conduct all business through the website is imperative," Lemoine stated. All members must complete the renewal application, which must be completed first after logging in as a member. Membership dues are to be paid by January 1, are deemed delinquent on February 1, and result in forfeiture on March 1. If you have any technical questions, you may reach out to Evan Lemoine, PRP.
